What is ESCAPELLE® ?

Escapelle is an emergency contraception used when other contraceptive methods fail, e.g. condom broke or slipped, you forgot to take birth control pills or you didn’t use any birth control method before sex. It contains the drug levonorgestrel. A pack contains 1 pill, which should be used within 72 hrs after unprotected sex. If it is more than 72 hrs ask your gynecologist or pharmacist for the other pill that will prevent pregnancy for 120 hrs.

Important warnings

  • Escapelle is meant only for emergency and urgent cases and should not be used as a regular contraceptive method.
  • Escapelle does not cause abortion and in case of late use you should not worry about the harm to the fetus – pregnancy can be full-term.
  • Escapelle does not protect against HIV nor other sexually transferred diseases.
  • Escapelle is available in pharmacy without prescription.
  • The pill is meant for internal application, it contains drug levonorgestrel.
  • Before the use of Escapelle read the leaflet.
  • Ask you doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns.
